Story Week 2013 Receives New Grant

The Fiction Writing Department at Columbia College Chicago received a new grant for the 2013 Story Week Festival of Writers from the MacArthur Fund for Arts and Culture at the Richard H. Driehaus Foundation. The grant awards the festival $9,000 each year for three years, totaling $27,000 by 2015. This is a highly competitive program that has supported Chicago-based arts and culture organizations for 10 years.
The 17th annual Story Week Festival of Writers runs from March 17-22, 2013. Featured writers include Sapphire, Gillian Flynn, T. Geronimo Johnson, Jane Hamilton, Audrey Niffenegger, Emma Donoghue, Adam McOmber, Joe Meno, Susan Hahn, Emma Straub, and many others. More information can be found online.
Fiction Writing's Linda Naslund was the lead grant writer for this project, with help from Fiction Writing Department staffers Greg Baldino and Deborah Siegel, and Cynthia Thomas and Bea Rodriguez in Institutional Advancement.
