AEMM Renews Partnership with Arts & Business Council of Chicago

The Arts, Entertainments and Media Management Department recently renewed its partnership with the Arts & Business Council of Chicago to develop and offer a series of arts management workshops on campus. They will be open to professionals, faculty, and students, and they will serve three objectives:

• Offer additional training to our full time and part time faculty members;
• Regularly bring professional arts managers on campus to present the program and position it as a resource to the field; and
  
• Develop a networking platform for our students, who will be able to meet professionals before, during, and after these trainings.

The workshops will take place on Tuesdays beginning in January 2013. Here are the dates and times:

February 19: Funder Perspective, 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m., Hokin Lecture Hall
April 16: Event Sponsorship, 5:30 - 8:30 p.m., Hokin Lecture Hall
May 21: Community Engagement, 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m., Hokin Lecture Hall
June 25: Board Recruitment, 5:30 - 8:30 p.m., Location to be announced
August 20: Alternative Models for Revenue Generation, 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m., Location to be announced
September 10: Social Investing, 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m., Location to be announced
October 22: Succession Planning, 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m., Location to be announced
