And the Nominees Are…

Congratulations are in order for Columbia College Chicago alumni as both they and their projects have been nominated for Primetime Emmy Awards by the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.

"Hatfields & McCoys," co-produced by alum Aaron Semel (B.A. ’98), , received 16 nominations, including Outstanding Miniseries or Movie. HISTORY aired the three-part miniseries, starring Kevin Costner and Bill Paxton, which were the top-rated entertainment telecasts ever for ad-supported basic cable.

It was also another great year for Len Amato (B.A. ’75), president of HBO Films. HBO Films’ "Game Change" earned 12 nominations and "Hemingway & Gelhorn" garnered 15 nominations.

The winners will be announced on a live telecast on Sunday, September 23 on ABC.
