Visual Literacy: Landscape and Place at the MoCP

February 18, 2013

The Museum of Contemporary Photography (MoCP) and the Center for Innovation (CiTE) are partnering up for a workshop! Participants will examine and discuss original images, from the collection of the Museum of Contemporary Photography, to consider how close thoughtful “readings” of photographs can expand students’ thinking and learning across a variety of disciplines and media. Led by Corrinne Rose, MoCP Manager of Education and Megan Stielstra, Assistant Director of the CiTE, this workshop will include information on how faculty can access and utilize the vast educational resources of the MoCP in their courses.

This session will focus on the Museum of Contemporary Photography’s current exhibition, Victoria Sambunari: Taxonomy of a Landscape, on view at the MoCP January 11 – March 31, 2013.
