Photo Faculty Steve Liss' Exhibition Featured in Photo District News

The exhibition ThanksGivingAmerica, documenting poverty in all 50 states, is raising money in order to travel after it opens at Columbia College Chicago on Thanksgiving Day.

ThanksGivingAmerica is part of AmericanPoverty.org, an organization co-founded by Photography faculty Steve Liss and fellow Chicago photojournalist Jon Lowenstein. The organization is a non-profit alliance of photojournalists determined “to use visual media to raise awareness about poverty in the United States, dispel inaccurate and destructive stereotypes about poor people, and encourage action to alleviate poverty.”
