Art + Design Alumni Commissioned for Taste of Chicago Installation
Art & Design alumni Linsey Burritt and Crystal Grover have been commissioned by the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events to create an installation for the Taste of Chicago.
Burritt, who graduated with a BFA in Graphic Design, and Grover, who earned a BFA in Interior Architecture, founded INDO together in 2007. INDO is a window design company that uses materials that have been diverted from the waste stream.
The announcement was made by the Chicago Artists’ Coalition who was invited by the city to oversee the commission in order to incorporate a visual arts component by a Chicago artist. The installation will feature a dynamic ceiling installation as part of the festival's new Celebrity Chef du Jour dining tent.
