Adam Hausen Hired as Production Assistant With NBA Digital/Turner Sports in Atlanta, GA

The next time you sit back and watch an NBA game on the Turner Sports Network, know that one of the behind the scenes Production Assistants is none other than 2014 Radio Department graduate Adam Hausen.

After completing an internship at Comcast SportsNet Chicago in November of 2013, Adam's diligence and skill set earned him a past-time position as a Production Assistant/Associate Producer with the station. While working at Comcast SportsNet, Adam continued to pursue a dream of working closely with NBA telecasts. He noticed an opening at Turner Sports, and as he relates, everything fell into place. "The interview process lasted about a month. I had a phone screening, 45 minute phone interview, and those were followed by an in-person interview in Atlanta. A week after the interview they offered me the position and I accepted."

Adam's responsibilities include: researching, building and pitching graphic ideas for on-air broadcasts, running the ticker, and selecting shots for on-air playback.

Though he has the dream job he always wished for, Adam is clearly not content to rest on his laurels. "Now that I have my foot in the door I plan on working hard and letting the rest take care of itself. None of this would have been possible without the stellar networking system that is Columbia College Chicago. I want to thank the faculty and staff in the Radio Department for the education, experience and support throughout my stay. I kept telling people I'm going to work for the NBA one day. Well.. I did it!"
