WCRX-FM's Corey Stolzenbach Interviews Former Chicago White Sox All-Star Billy Pierce

Every Saturday from 9 a.m.-9:30 a.m., Corey Stolzenbach gives his take on the past, present, and future of baseball as host of "The Baseball Show," on WCRX-FM. Turning his attention to some of the stars of yesteryear, Corey recently interviewed former Chicago White Sox pitcher Billy Pierce.

Considered one of the best pitchers during the 1950s, Pierce played 18 seasons in the major leagues, including 13 seasons with the Chicago White Sox. He was a Major league All-Star seven times during his career, and was recognized as one of the best left-handed pitchers in baseball history.

According to Corey, hosting the show has been a dream come true. "For many years, I have had a fondness for the game's past. I've been very lucky to get a wide variety of guests on my weekly program. I just told myself it wouldn't hurt to reach out to the former players and ask them to tell stories from their playing days. It's one thing to dream about something like this. It's another thing to actually interview them. This is an experience for which I am very grateful for!"
