Cinema Art + Science Student Film Festival Showcases Moving Image Production

Twelve finalist films made in Foundations classes screened before a full house at the 25th semi-annual Take 1 Student Film Festival followed by a presentation of Jury and Audience awards on Wednesday, November 13, 2013.

Vague Existence by Nicolette Venia won the Jury Award and Los Zapatos by Javier Rodriquez won Audience Choice in the Moving Image Production I category.

Bell Jar by Stuart Hotwagner and Jeff Simpson won the Jury award and Bernard Sees A Girl by Brian Pace, Richard Vergara, and Vanessa Vazquez won Audience Choice in the Moving Image Production II Fiction category.

Ballo by Lisa Steiner and Christopher Gatewood won the Jury award and Parè by Myra Casciato won Audience Choice in the Moving Image Production II Documentary category.

The finalist films went through a rigorous jury process and were selected from over 40 best of class films. The scores are based on creativity of idea, content, and execution of concept.
