Filmmakers and Students Up Close and Personal

Thanks to Columbia College Chicago's sponsorship of the 49th Chicago International Film Festival, some of the best and the brightest up-and-comers in World Cinema participated in provocative and entertaining lunches, master classes, screenings, readings, and panels on campus.  Each one of these hit a level of student popularity that surpassed expectations for the year.

The always popular "Late Lunch with the Filmmakers" and "New Directors" panel served up great networking opportunities while the first time ever "Script to Screen" table reading allowed students the opportunity to engage in the development process of a new bound-for-production screenplay.

Two master classes with Israeli horror film director Aharon (Big Bad Wolves) Keshales and two-time Academy Award winner Haskell Medium Cool Wexler both played to packed houses.
