Carol Lloyd Rozansky Presents at University of Nebraska at Omaha Seminar
Carol Lloyd Rozansky (Education Department) presented, "From Reading to Writing: Helping Students Comprehend Challenging Texts," as part of the Writing Across the Curriculum Faculty Seminar at the University of Nebraska at Omaha, on January 2-3, 2013. The volunteer audience of faculty across disciplines had the goals of "using writing tasks to promote students' understanding of course material in any discipline (writing to learn), and integrating writing tasks across the curriculum in order to support students' development as writers (learning to write)." Dr. Rozansky, as one of the two introductory presenters, situated writing assignments within the context of reading since most writing assignments depend, in varying degrees, on text.
