Notable Story 2012

F&V adjunct faculty member Francine Sanders' short-short story, Beirut, was named one of the "notable stories" in Gemini Magazine's 2012 Flash Fiction Contest.

Gemini holds an annual short fiction, poetry and flash fiction contest. This year's Flash Fiction Contest, limited to stories with a maximum of 1,000 words, received 1,200 submissions. Beirut was inspired by a real-life encounter and the author's desire to try to distill the experience to its essence.
