Radio Students Win "Best New Ad" Audio Competition!
Congratulations to students Tom Bowman, Josh Cox, Charles Match, Ben Nance and Dominic Rescigno. They won first place for
their
commercial entry, "Dick's Donation," in a
BestNewAd.com
competition sponsored by
Gift of Hope. Along with the first place
trophy, they will share a $300.00 prize. Three additional student entries were awarded Honorable Mention: "Be the First," "Overstock," and "Zombies."
The client, Gift of Hope Organ & Tissue Donor Network, had this to say about the winning
commercial, "This ad is OUTSTANDING. It's creative, polished, edgy and
accomplishes all of the objectives listed in the creative brief. There's
really not much to say beyond this. The ad speaks for itself. Great
job!"
The winning piece was a collaborative effort between two radio courses. Josh Cox and Ben Nance, from George Zarr's
Writing for Radio course, wrote the ad, and Charles Match and Dominic Rescigno, from Jeff Lupetin's
Voice Acting for Animation provided the voices. Tom Bowman from the
WCRX Practicum handled the pre and post production for the spot.
BestNewAd.com has partnered with education and business communities, offering competitions for students to create "Best New Ads."
