Dunoon Named a Fellow by the WGAE

F&V senior screenwriting student Heather Dunoon has been named the 2013 Michael Collyer Fellow by the Writer’s Guild of America, East Foundation.

The Writers Guild of America, East Foundation’s Michael Collyer Memorial Fellowship is awarded to a student who plans to pursue a career in screenwriting upon completion of his or her undergraduate course of study. The recipient, chosen by the WGAE Foundation selection committee from a number of participating colleges and universities, receives a $10,000 stipend to write an original screenplay and is mentored during the course of the fellowship by a prominent screenwriter.

The fellowship, presented each year at the Writers Guild of America, East Awards ceremony in New York, was created in 2008 with a grant from the Charles and Lucille King Family Foundation.

Dunoon will receive her award on Sunday, February 17, 2013.
