WCRX-FM Wins 1st Place in Illinois Broadcasters Association Silver Dome Awards

WCRX Students win 3 Illinois Broadcasters Association Student Silver Dome Awards. At a luncheon Friday September 21st on the campus of Illinois State University, George Cotsirilos claimed 1st Place in the category of Best Radio Aircheck; Ruby Pinto was honored with the top award for Longform Programming with her Sounds from the Underground feature on the band, Sidewalk Chalk and Marco Scola won for Best Radio News Story for his piece on Occupy Chicago.

We congratulate the efforts of the entire WCRX Staff and the creativity and talents of these three individuals who have made WCRX one of the best college radio stations in the country.
