George Zarr Writes Song for Alice in Wonderland Audio Theatre Podcast

George Zarr, Senior Lecturer in the Radio Department, was commissioned by "Voices in the Wind Audio Theatre" to compose a song for the Alice in Wonderland Podcast. The title of the song is, "My Garden Back at Home," and is sung by Georgia Schultz, who plays Alice.

The production was recorded in Canada. Using the magic of Skype, George was able to participate in the actual recording from his desk at Columbia College Chicago! George commented, "I was sent the various takes of the song voice track and edited/mixed it down to the final performance. While I was at it, I also rearranged the song for piano and solo cello, then sent the finished piece back to Canada."

Alice in Wonderland is slated for release late summer via "Voices in the Wind Audio Theatre," and can be heard on the Moonlight Audio Theatre Podcast on the BlackBerry smartphone, BlackBerry PlayBook Tablet, iTunes, and Android.
