Calie Lyons Obtains Traffic Editor Position at Navteq (Nokia) Traffic

Acting on a tip and a recommendation from former classmate Eric Pribramsky (B.A. '11), Calie Lyons (B.A. '11) has been hired as a Traffic Editor at Navteq (Nokia) Traffic. Navteq provides traffic information via internet, cell phones, radio, satellite radio and television.

According to Eric, who was recently hired as a full-time Traffic Editor, when a position opened up he immediately thought of Calie. "When my bosses told us that there was a position open that they needed to fill, I knew Calie would be a great fit."

As a Traffic Editor, Calie will be responsible for gathering traffic data and relaying the information to traffic feeds that go to Bing Maps, GPS units, cell phones, and in-car navigation systems, as well as the Navteq broadcaster screens. Calie had this to say about her new position: "I'm really excited to get the job, learn new technology, and help tons of people at the same time."
