PRSA Scholarship Recipients
Every year the Public Relations Society of America(PRSA) - Chicago Chapter hosts a scholarship opportunity to offer financial assistance to the next generation of Public Relation practitioners. There were three (3) scholarships granted this year to the following students, all of whom were derived from Columbia's Marketing Communication Department.
1st place: Marissa Walters
2nd place: Hilary Jurinak
3rd place: Ashley Lavore
Winners were selected based on the following:
- Junior or senior status in the current academic year;
- Be a PRSSA member in good standing at a PRSA Chicago-affiliated chapter;
- Hold a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA (4.0 scale); and
- Use scholarship funds for educational or professional purposes.
Scholarship awards were presented at the 2012 Skyline awards on Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at The Chicago Hilton & Towers, 720 S. Michigan Avenue.
