Susan Tyma Receives 2012 Excellence in Teaching Award

Susan Tyma (Science and Mathematics) was one of two part-time faculty members at the college to receive the 2012 Excellence in Teaching Award. The Excellence in Teaching Award is a celebration of the art of teaching at Columbia College Chicago. Each year, students, faculty, and staff honor their great teachers and colleagues by nominating them for this prestigious award. A committee, composed of both full-and part-time faculty, identifies and honors two Columbia College instructors, one part-time and one full-time. The instructors receive a modest monetary award and an engraved plaque.
