BestNewAd.com competition sponsored by Cartridge World. Along with the first place trophy, they will share a $300.00 prize.
The winning effort was one of six student teams from the Radio Department in a contest that featured over two hundred online entries from various universities and colleges. Dan Pasquerelli and Amber Calderon from the
Voiceover I course provided the voices, and Dan had this to say about the win: "This really means a lot to me. I've never won any sort of award, so I don't really know what to think right now!" Amanda Wheaton from the
Writing for Radio class wrote the commercial. She offered this about the writing process: "I wrote it the night before class, it just came to me randomly. The win is absolutely awesome, it's great to get a start in the real world." Senior Radio major Matt Brousseau who produced the spot commented, "Once I put the pieces of the puzzle together, I knew we had the right combination. It's a great feeling. Congratulations to the whole group and thank you to the voters."
