VEINS IN THE GULF Screening and Panel Discussion

Veins in the Gulf
is a recently completed feature-length documentary produced by F&V faculty Ted Hardin and partner Elizabeth Coffman in collaboration with Louisiana poet Martha Serpas and scientists from BTNEP (Barataria-Terrebonne National Estuary Program).

The film features Martha Serpas and a community of advocates in southern Louisiana following a series of disasters: Katrina, Gustav and the BP oil spill. Levee directors, musicians, writers and estuary program directors are all involved in trying to save their coastline from erosion, pollution and environmental destruction.

Panelists include Martha Serpas, filmmakers Ted Hardin and Elizabeth Coffman, and wetlands scientist Nancy Tuchman.
