Amy M. Mooney was awarded an Andrew Mellon Fellowship through the Black Metropolis Research Consortium for her project “Strategies for Visualizing Chicago’s Cultural Capital: The Black Portrait.”
Graphic Design Student Julia Soderberg Receives Recognition for Pictograms
A+D student Julia Soderberg designed pictograms in Renee Ramsey-Passmore's Sign, Symbol, Image class which were submitted to the Noun Project. Julia sold 15 of her designs and was contacted for a freelance job designing pictograms for an owner of a cosmetics company.
A+D Faculty Awarded CITE Fellowships
Congratulations go to A+D Faculty members in Product Design, Tao Huang and Becky Buck, who have been awarded the Timothy J. Densmore Service-Learning Fellowship, and Petra Probstner, Interior Architecture, along with Fashion Studies faculty member Amy Meadows, who have been awarded the CiTE Cross-Curricular Collaboration Fellowship.
