ColumbiaWorks is a free online employment resource for graduates of the Columbia College Chicago.  Degreed Alumni may access ColumbiaWorks to search and post jobs, internships and volunteer opportunities.  Employers outside of the Columbia community are also welcome to post opportunities within the system. 

All opportunities received by Columbia College will be publicly posted on ColumbiaWorks for a minimum of three days.  All positions will remain viewable for two months, unless the employer notes otherwise.

Internships
Internships constitute training and mentorship of students in a field relevant to their academic programs.  A professional must provide supervision with knowledge in an area relevant to the intern's primary duties.  Internships may be paid or unpaid.

A student may opt to pursue an internship for college credit at the discretion of his/her academic department and the employer.  Most programs require students to be classified as a junior and in good academic standing before they accept and internship for credit.  Each academic department has established a set of criteria for what constitutes a credit worthy internship.

Volunteer Opportunities
This option is applicable if you are seeking volunteers for a non-profit organization or charitable event, or if you are seeking students to volunteer their time and talents toward a project that will help them utilize their professional and artistic skills.
