The 2012 fall exhibition looks at the various disciplines that Columbia Alumni work in to create art.  This year’s Alumni on 5 in the library seek to attract as many disciplines as possible.  From fine art, photography, art and design, to music, performance, film and video, fashion, new media, writing, and many more; we hope to show how diverse Columbia’s alumni are within their arts practices.  What is your medium?

Any of the varieties of painting or drawing as determined by the material or technique used. Hence more widely: any raw material or mode of expression used in an artistic or creative activity.

Eligibility, Restrictions &
Schedule

¥    All Columbia College Chicago alumni are welcome to submit their original work.  Collaborations are welcome. By submitting your  
      work, you acknowledge that you are the sole creator and copyright owner of the work.
¥    Submissions in all mediums are welcome. Any accepted works that requiring special installation equipment or materials, the artist(s)
      must be prepared to supply what is necessary for the duration of the exhibition.
¥    All submissions must be made electronically to submitalumni@colum.edu by the midnight August 13, 2012 deadline.
¥    All accepted works must be available for the duration of the installation and exhibition, September 1- Spring 2012.



What to Submit

¥    Up to five works may be submitted. Works which are made up of multiple components will be counted as one entry.
¥    Image files should be 7 inches on the long side with a resolution of 150 ppi and saved as a jpeg.
¥    Each image must be labeled in the following format:
      Artist’sName_ImageNumber
      example = JohnDoe_01
¥    The completed submission form (see attachment above).
¥    Please save the completed form using ‘Save As’, ‘PDF’.
¥    Submissions will be accepted only electronically and must be emailed to submitalumni@colum.edu by midnight August 13, 2012.
¥    The jury will review all submissions and notify artists of their decision by August 17, 2012.
¥    All work must be delivered, ready to install, including any special installation hardware or equipment on the scheduled drop-off date,
      September 1, 2012. Accepted works can be shipped with proper reusable packaging and return postage.
