Columbia MFA Ira Brooker is working on a book tentatively titled How I Use My Useless Degree. He is looking for interviewees who earned liberal arts or fine arts degrees in the past five or six years and are currently employed in a job that puts that training to work. He is particularly interested in people who work “straight jobs" (offices, retail, etc.) that incorporate their arts educations. For example, Mr. Brooker applies his Fiction Writing degree to writing copy and editing a blog for a large retail chain.
